He has also organized and taught: courses, workshops, conferences, congresses in different cultural areas. Member of the selection committee of the EFA Awards (European Film Academy Awards), Member of the Spanish Film Academy, Academician of the European Film Academy, Corresponding Academician of the Uruguayan Academy of Letters, Arts and Cinematographic Sciences, member of the Writers Guild of Spain, ALMA, of the SGAE and Fundación Autor, of the Union of Filmmakers, of the Association of Directors and Filmmakers of Asturias, ARDA. Creator of the National Film Award “Nacho Martínez”.

With more than 30 national and international awards, it is neccessary to emphasize the following prizes: the Best National Short Film Award of 2009, the 2006 “Villa de Avilés” Award, the Gold Remi of the 43rd Houston Film Festival 2011 stand out, the Aloha Accolade Award in the Honoluu International Film Festival 2010 or the AOF 2010 Films in Los Angeles.
